ENVISIONING EQUALITY.
After two centuries in chains, our ancestors’ vision of freedom was finally realized on June 19, 1865.
Through the years, we’ve inherited that vision as the proud legacy of those who fought,
those who died, and those who overcame.
For Juneteenth 2023, I led my co-workers at Black@MullenLowe U.S. in inviting everyone to see #Juneteenth through our eyes: a visual love letter to our ancestors, originally penned by Frederick Douglass, that we titled
"The Long Lens of Freedom."
It's our reminder that the day is not performative, political, or pretend — to us, it’s priceless. 🖤
And this work proudly earned us a place as the lead story in AdWeek’s Juneteenth Monday Stir.
